Welcome to UMass Chan!
Two of our graduate students got to present some of their work for first-year students this week.
Last month two of our graduate students spent time learning outside of our lab!
Emmet attended a single cell cancer biology conference focused on Dissecting Evolution and Heterogeneity of Single Cancer Cells.
Ayush attended the Cancer Systems Biology Course at UCI learning about single-cell RNA-seq, mathematical modeling, and metabolomics.
Congratulations to all the UMass Chan graduates!
Special congrats to Dr. Walker! She successfully defended her thesis back in October on how O-linked glycosylation can define stem cell populations. She has since been working as a Scientist at Sanofi.
We are so glad she was able to come back and celebrate at commencement with us last weekend!
Graduate student Dimpi Mukhopadhyay was selected to give a short talk on her current work at The Cell Signaling in Cancer Conference: From Mechanisms to Therapy, hosted by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.
Third-year M.D./Ph.D. student Ayush Kumar is officially a Ph.D candidate at UMass Chan Medical School. His current research interests are focused on mechanisms that contribute to radio-resistance in triple-negative breast cancer. Congrats Ayush!
