Mandy attends AACR Special Conference on Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy to further share her work on “Therapeutic Blocking of VEGF Binding to Neuropilin-2 Diminishes PD-L1 Expression to Activate Anti-Tumor Immunity in Prostate Cancer.”
Mandy attends CICON22
This week our postdoc Mandy Wang attended the Cancer Immunotherapy Conference hosted by the Cancer Research Institute, the European Network for Cancer Immunotherapy, and the American Association for Cancer Research. This conference focused on “Translating Science into Survival.”
Mandy was able to present a poster highlighting her work on “Therapeutic blocking of VEGF binding to neuropilin-2 inhibits PD-L1 to activate anti-tumor immunity in prostate cancer.”
You can find her abstract and all of the other abstracts from the conference here.
Presentations!
Welcome to UMass Chan!
Two of our graduate students got to present some of their work for first-year students this week.
5th year student Dimpi presenting her work on TRPC6 sustains stemness and therapy resistance
4th year student Emmet presenting his work on ferroptosis resistance in TNBC
Learning Outside our Lab!
Last month two of our graduate students spent time learning outside of our lab!
Emmet attended a single cell cancer biology conference focused on Dissecting Evolution and Heterogeneity of Single Cancer Cells.
Ayush attended the Cancer Systems Biology Course at UCI learning about single-cell RNA-seq, mathematical modeling, and metabolomics.
UMass Chan Commencement Celebration with Melanie!
Congratulations to all the UMass Chan graduates!
Special congrats to Dr. Walker! She successfully defended her thesis back in October on how O-linked glycosylation can define stem cell populations. She has since been working as a Scientist at Sanofi.
We are so glad she was able to come back and celebrate at commencement with us last weekend!
